Interim City Administrator Resigns, After 5 weeks on the job

Shady Cove's Interim City Administrator, Mr.  Dale Shaddox, has resigned after a little more than 5 weeks on the job.  (Shaddox was hired in mid-October due to the Council's decision to place Administrator Parry on non-disciplinary administrative leave, while an investigation takes place). 

Mr. Shaddox informed the City on Nov. 12th.  Today, Nov 20th, in an executive session and special meeting, the City Council appointed Mr. John Edwards (current Chair of the Planning Commission) as the new interim City Administrator.  To the SCA's knowledge, no other candidates were considered.  

SCA believes the public should be aware of Mr. Shaddox's reasons for resigning.  The following letter was sent to every Shady Cove Council member, and it is therefore a matter of public record.  As a result, we made the decision to post the information publicly.
